The first Old Boys Reunion Dinner since before the war. This function was also in celebration of the Hostels Silver Jubilee. Mr Herbert baker, Special Commissioner and Founder of the Sea Training Hostel, was in the chair. In addition to 42 Old Boys, Capt., the Right Hon. Lord Teynham, DSO, DSC, RN (rtd) Chairman of the Sea Training Committee, and Lady Leathers together with all the old members of staff, including Mr GE Halsey, first Commanding Officer of the hostel, Miss AM Gibbons and many guests who in the past have been closely associated with the hostels activities.
