Anthony Taylor
After graduating from PWSTS 29 Oct. 1966 I joined the RMS Ruahine where I stayed
until she was sold by NZS co. July 1968.
MV Westmorland Aug 68 to Sept 69.
MV Hertford Oct 69 to June 70
MV Hinakura July 70 to Nov 70
I then went ashore to get married. Had 5 children & am now a Grandad. Went back
to sea due to business failure in May 92. I'd been doing relieving work on
various vessels until 1995 when I got a permanent job with a local coastal
company called Pacifica Shipping (1985) Ltd. During my time ashore I joined the
Royal New Zealand Navy Volunteer Reserve for 10 years. !985 to 95. That period
in the reserve reminded me a lot of PWSTS.
