Reunion Dinner
10:00 hrs Dover Annual Merchant Navy Day
Service Old Town Hall Dover (Biggin
Street). The Red Duster permanently fly's over the Town Hall and all seafarers
are welcome. The Normandy Veterans will also be in attendance as will, the Royal
Naval Association, Royal Marines and the Special Forces Commandoes.
10.25 hrs Standard bearers arrive and congregate by the side of the Town Hall (dry weather) or in Connaught Hall (wet weather). Guests arrive in Stone Hall.
10.25 hrs The Reverend enters from the Council Chambers at rear of Stone Hall and takes his place.
10.30 hrs Sound the 'Alert' by the bugler. Standard bearers march up the stairs through the Stone Hall to dais at rear of Stone Hall (dry weather) or from Connaught Hall (wet weather).
10.35 hrs The Service of Celebration.
10.55 hrs Address by Mr Donald Hunter, Chairman of the Kent Branch of the Merchant Navy Association.
11.00 hrs Closing address by Cllr Pat Heath, Chairman of Dover District Council.
11.05 hrs Standard bears march out of hall.
11.10 hrs Coffee/tea and biscuits served in Connaught Hall.
11.45 hrs Dover Annual Merchant Navy Day Event closes.
17:00 hrs PWSTS Reunion - Pre drinks in the Churchill Hotel bar, viewing of memorabilia, photographs and continual showing of PWSTS film.

19:00 hrs Reunion dinner (menu). Grace by
Reverend Sean

20:30 hrs approximately. Presentation in the conference room. Guest speaker

21:15 hrs Raffle drawn. Tickets sold on the night by
Bob Batchelor (PWSTS 1969) and Alan Playford (PWSTS 1958)

10:00 hrs Unveiling of the PWSTS Dover Commemorative Plaque by Captain Colin Frank Vine DSC, RD, RNR. (Captain Superintendent PWSTS Dover 1964 – 1974) at the Prince of Wales Pier Light House.

Merchant Navy Memorial Day
For those wishing to make their own way to London. A PWSTS wreath will be laid at the
Merchant Navy Memorial Services
at Tower Hill by Alan Playford (PWSTS 1958). A wreath, on behalf of the
Lord Lieutenant of Kent, will be laid by Tony Sullivan (PWSTS 1952).
PWSTS Standard Bearer Geoff Delivett (PWSTS 1963).
12:15 hrs HMS President Guard of Honour in position Trinity Square. Welsh Guards either side of Falklands Memorial. Thetford Grammar School Choir to be in position.
12:30 hrs Merchant Navy Parade marches off, led by Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines and the Standards of participating Associations, entering the Gardens via North Gate.
12:34 hrs Parade arrives at Trinity Square, salute being taken by the First Sea Lord Admiral Sir Alan West GCB DSC ADC (Falklands Veteran) accompanied by Commodore Robert Thornton MDA RFA.
13:00 hrs The Merchant Navy Day Memorial Service gets underway.
13:45 hrs Unveiling of the 1982 Falklands Memorial.
14:15 hrs Completion of service. Invited guests only to HMS President
