Falcon Class 1970. Worked for BP for six years came shore side and worked for a local marine engineers 1976-1979. 1979-1991 Work for a local electrical manufacturers as a maintenance fitter, promoted to the Production Engineering and Development team designing and building special purpose machinery. Remained until the company was sold in 91.

Relocated with the company to Essex under the MK banner and in 1994 I was involved in moving the production machinery to Malaysia. Returned and remained at Mk Electrics until I was made redundant in 1999. Got fed up when applying for jobs that I was 'over qualified' or 'just outside of our age group' to bloody old and to expensive was what they really meant. So I finally decided to retrain in IT. Initially gaining high level NVQ's in the field and going on to do the Microsoft MCSE course.

I now work at a school here in Essex as a Network Manager with a small group of technicians under my control.
