Mansion House 1965

On the 12th May the school closed for the day and went to London to provide a Guard of Honour to the Principal guest. On this occasion H.R.H Princess Marina was the Guest of Honour and kindly inspected the Guard which was paraded at the Mansion House. She spoke to several boys and afterwards presented three Royal certificates of merit to: Gerald Paul Black of Ballycastle, N.I, Michael E W Salmon of Salisbury, S Rhodesia, David Cyril Watson of Malton, Yorks.

The Thomas Gray Memorial Prize which is awarded to the boy who, in the opinion of the officers, will make the best sailor, was shared this year by: Trevor Roy Nicholls of the Scilly Isles and Alexander T Barclay of Newton Stewart.
