Ian Mac Diarmid
(known as Kiwi)
Attended from April to August 1974, having worked my passage from Auckland to Liverpool on the M.V. Piako. Joined the Oriana, then returned to N.Z. 1975, never to go to sea again, although it was great at the time.
I am now married, 3 children, and live in Christchurch, N.Z. I have worked at a
variety of jobs, but seem to have settled in the architectural field where I
work as an architectural draughtsman.
The only names I remember from those days are Russell Cant and Phil Gaughran,
both local Dover guys. Oh, and also Ray from Scunthorpe.
It would be great to hear from any of you or anyone else from that time.
