After leaving PWSTS in 1963 spent 17 years at sea mainly with NZS Co & Port line. Left the sea in 1979 to get married and a career change to spend the next 23 years in the offshore oil industry, mostly out of Aberdeen. Managed to take early retirement in 2002 at 55 and can recommend it to anyone.
