Launched 11th Oct 1941 Commissioned 22 Feb 1942                                               

HMS Albrighton was hit 4 times whilst Charlie served on board her. On 5th may 1942 when proceeding off Cap D'ailly France she was engaged by enemy forces and was not impaired. On 19th August 1942 she sustained minor damage.

On 11th December 1942 while attacking an enemy convoy off Dieppe she suffered superficial damage. On 28th April 1943 she attacked an enemy convoy off the French coast and suffered minor damage.

She was sold to West Germany Navy on 14-05-59 (like HMS Eggesford), where she served as the frigate Raule F 217. Sold for scrap Eisen & Metall in 1969.

The ships bell is reported as displayed at the Albrighton Parish Church, Shropshire.
